Watermelon Day

August 3rd is watermelon day in America, I'm not entirely sure what this means but it sounds fun anyway and we all love watermelons in our house.

Last year we made this watermelon cake to celebrate.

It was really easy to make, just one regular cake with added chocolate chips for melon seeds and quite a lot of red food colouring.

Then to decorate, we put red icing on top and green on the sides, then added some more chocolate chips and green jelly beans for extra yummyness.

Maybe not the healthiest watermelon, but lots of fun to make!
