Neon Spirograph Plates
Green also continues the popularity of last summers tropical theme, although this year we’re seeing this extended from the pineapples and flamingoes to incude more jungle themes and decorations as well. The tropical theme also works well with 80’s parties which are set to be a key style this year, we’re seeing lots of bright neon colours and geometric patterns, the 80’s theme doesn’t have to be over the top though, our favourite spirograph inspired plates and napkins are perfect for creating a stylish 80s party.

We’re also seeing a trend in parties towards more botanical themes as well, especially fern leaves and palms, this has been popular with interiors for a while and is now moving into party themes too. We love the new metallic palm plates that Meri Meri are launching this season. You can introduce the botanical theme into your parties quite simply by adding some fresh foliage to your party tables and decorations, this isn’t just a theme for grown-up parties either, bright coloured fresh flowers in glass jars can look lovely at children’s party table too.
Metallics aren’t disappearing off the scene yet either, these are still going to be hugely popular. Rose gold is the latest metallic to join the party and looks great mixed with other metallics and plain colours. Look for foiled tableware and decorations to add a touch of glamour to your celebration.
The big general theme that has been ongoing for a few seasons now, is mix and match partyware. Instead of buying all your plates, cups and napkins in the same design, try to select a few different designs that look good together, maybe with a similar colour scheme or co-ordinating pattern, lots of manufacturers are designing their products with this in mind so it’s easy to find ranges that look nice together.
