Earth Day - Seed Paper Earths
Share
I thought it would be nice to do some Earth Day activities with my children this year and had previously seen little earth gift tags on Etsy which I used for inspiration.
We started by soaking some blue and green paper overnight until it turned into pulp. We then drained in and squeezed out as much water as we could.
We took the bowl of blue paper and mixed in some flower seeds.
Next we used a round cookie cutter and pushed bits of paper firmly into the shape making it as flat as possible. Then we added little bits of the green paper to decorate the shape to look like the earth.
We then carefully removed the cutter and left the paper shapes on a tray in the window to dry out.
When they are finished we are going to give them to friends to plant in their gardens and hopefully they will make lots of pretty flowers.
